I consult with U.S. firms that want to sell American-made products and services to China and Asia. I have run a Center-City based international sales consultancy for 26 years. I also give talks on consulting and self-employment skills. The Free Library of Philadelphia and the U.S. Department of Commerce ask me to speak frequently. I’d be willing to speak at Barcampphilly.org.

What do you wish you did?
Ever since I created my professional life in 1983, I have been doing what I wished.

Have you ever been to a BarCamp before? If so, which one(s)?
No. I only knew about barcampphilly today, Sunday, November 1, 2009 because a friend of mine told me on the phone.

If you were to lead a session, what would it be about?
Self employment especially solo consulting skills. I have been running a one-person consultancy for 26 years. I am also an active member of a 190-member consultants network. I’d like to share my insights on how people can make a good living being independent consultants.

Give us one interesting fact about yourself!
I coined the phrase “C.H.I.N.A. Formula” to summarize what I know about the secrets of selling to the Chinese successfully in one word, namely, “C.H.I.N.A.”. I uploaded an eight-minute video on YouTube. Here is the YouTube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8g5ZKdbKAs.
